Of ear care, jewelry dealers, and mall madness

Tue Aug 18, 2009, 12:54 PM
Okay so yesterday, I had an interesting incident occur at the local mall. So recently, I decided that I really wanted to get my ears double-pierced. I decided to go to a tattoo place, because I know a guy that works there that could probably get me a good discount. When I asked the price, it turned out to be SIXTY BUCKS for both ears. Are you kidding me? I could do it myself if I really wanted to do it. Anyhow, I decided it wasn't worth it so I went to the mall. I found my way to Claire's...you know, the little girl store. The price there: $16 for both ears. It was only the cost of the earrings. I was quite happy. So, I got my ears done, and it didn't even hurt. So then, my friends and I walked around for awhile and looked through some other stores. I made my way down to the Sam Goody and found the bargain bin of movies actually contained some movies I really wanted! I bought four movies that I had been trying to find for awhile at a good price and went to shop some more. So my friends and I went onto some clothing stores, trying things on. In between our trips to various stores, we went to the bathroom. For some reason, I left my bag of earring stuff and movies on the counter.

Not a good idea.

I didn't notice they were gone for a long time until we were about to leave. I think the reason for this is that I have a rather heavy purse, so I didn't quite notice the little bag missing from my arm. Anyhow, we ran back to the bathroom to look for it and it was, of course, gone. (Who steals ear cleaning solution?!) So then, on the way out of the bathroom, this guy walks up to me out of nowhere and hands me a business card. His name was Luis and he worked at a jewelry store. It was rather odd to be bombarded as soon as I got out of the bathroom, currently furious about my stuff having vanished. However, he was rather cute. The greatest thing was that he had been in such a hurry to talk to me that he had written "Call M" on the business card. I assume he meant "Call Me", but I'm rather intrigued by the missing letter. Maybe he's in a secret spy organization? Anyway, it was way daring of him to give me his number, even if it was rather odd.

So then...

On my way out of the mall, completely flustered at my missing stuff, pain in my ears, and the mysterious jewelry salesman, I see a couple people carrying a few bags. One of them happens to be an ear care bag. At first I thought nothing of it, but then I remembered that the mall is now closing. Nobody can get their ears pierced from a closed store. So I ran after them, hoping to meet up with them at the next entrance, but they scooted out of there pretty quickly. I'm not so much angry right now as I am confused. Who would honestly steal ear care supplies?! I'm quite befuddled.

But anyhow, my ears look quite good.
